  1. Thank you for sharing!!.. congratulations and just continue to let your fingers do the walking and your heart do the talking… and don’t forget to live life so you have adventures to share… 🙂

Dust if you must, but wouldn’t it be better
to paint a picture, or write a letter,
bake a cake, or plant a seed.
Ponder the difference between want and need.

Dust if you must, but there is not much time,
with rivers to swim and mountains to climb!
Music to hear, and books to read,
friends to cherish and life to lead.

Dust if you must, but the world’s out there
with the sun in your eyes, the wind in your hair,
a flutter of snow, a shower of rain,
this day will not come round again.

Dust if you must, but bear in mind,
old age will come and it’s not kind.
And when you go, and go you must,
you, yourself, will make more dust!
    (Rose Milligan)

    Until we meet again..
May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
The rains fall soft upon your fields
May green be the grass you walk on
May blue be the skies above you
May pure be the joys that surround you
May true be the hearts that love you.

  2. Darn it! I was waiting until #253 to say something. Every instinct had that as the magic number, yet #252 snuck in there and made it an occasion. Stupid numbers.

Seriously, congratulations, Crystal…and I predict we’ll have this exact same discussion on #1344 v. #1343. Funny how “let’s see how this goes” quickly becomes years. At least it does when you keep the public interested for all that time. That in itself is impressive, though it hardly surprises.

      1. Absolutely! Recalls an1950s production portraying life in far-distant 1980. Or what about the Jetsons? Can’t quite remember what year that was supposed to take place, but by 2022 we must be far beyond there now, right?

      2. I’m thinking of a Ray Bradbury short story, “There Will Come Soft Rains,” written in 1950, set in the post-apocalyptic 2026. The house did everything for its people—cooking, cleaning, scheduling, reminding, entertaining. Not too far off from what our smart phones do (besides the cooking and cleaning).

  3. Hi Crystal. Congratulations to five years in the books. I’ve been around for three years, and I didn’t see that happening when I started. People tend to be more respectful on blogs than on many other forms of social media.

Incidentally, I can read your comment in my email, but it didn’t appear on my blog for some reason. Add that to the thousand other technological things I don’t understand.🤣

    1. Hi Pete! I’m not sure what I expected when I started, but the kindness of like-minded people has been a bonus. Thanks for visiting, congrats on your three years, and have a great weekend!

  4. While I was reading the comments, I gained confidence and encouragement.
All your readers have supported and encouraged. Readers play a great role to build a confidence, strength in writer’s mind.
Whenever I get chance I read the comments only and feel very happy to see that there are persons who takes care always.
    My best regards.
I would like to see your #2000 posts in near future.
    Best wishes and regards 🙏😊
