It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.

  4. I love Melody Beattie. Her book, “Codependent No More” is one of my favs. I just noticed your by line says, “Faith + Gratitude = Peace + Hope.” Has there always been two equal sides to the equation, or is this a recent addition? I should pay more attention. Happy Thanksgiving!

    1. I only know Melody Beattie through quotes. I always like to read other people’s favorites. This one sounds good!

      I started blogging in 2017 after a hurricane flooded us out of our home…Faith + Gratitude carried me with Peace + Hope. The equation was there from the beginning.

    Surely, one of them has to be opening that bubbly without taking out a painting, an eye, or that annoyingly un-cratered wall. How’d you manage that?

        Not that I have an extensive history freeing the sparkles, but I have managed precisely one perfect launch. I’ll treasure that memory to the end of my days.

        You likely have heard this story already, and it probably is mere legend, but it’s said that when Dom Perignon (the French abbot for whom the prestigious Champagne is named) first tried the stuff, he called to his colleagues, “Brothers come look. I’m drinking stars!”
