W is for Walk on the Wild Side

Crystal came to Houston for a stay,

Walked around a bayou known as Brays,

Snapped photos with her phone along the way,

Squirrels and birds and dogs stopped her to say,

They said, hey babe, talk a walk on the wild side.

Said, hey honey, take a walk on the wild side.

This post inspired by Lou Reed and A Tribe Called Quest also inspires my morning walk. Can I kick it?

Yes, you can! Have a great week, Everyone!

    1. Thank you, Lisa! Trying to mix it up a bit, and then my hard drive crashed yesterday. This puts a cramp on my challenge. I wanted to post video, but couldn’t figure it out on my phone. Going to try to keep my daily walks going…I might have to wake up around 5 when the summer heat hits.

      1. Your doing great!!! Yes, the summer heat can definitely put a damper on walks making it necessary to wake up early to get it in. This quarantine and beautiful weather has me enjoying sleeping later than usual 😇

  2. Hi Crystal,
I’m still going. Finished my porridge with fresh raspberries and my cup of tea has run dry and I have Moonlight Sonata playing on the cello along with the Goodies “Funky Gibbon” which is what I thought of when you mention do do do on your walk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAmx_XdQky8
I went on a similar walk a week or so ago in Woy Woy with a similar bird in the water. I haven’t posted that walk up yet, but that might be a good post for today. I was a bit concerned about the Thoreau quote. I’m not a morning person and have lately been going to bed well into the morning and walking up at midday. Now, that school holidays are over and we’re back to school at home with our teenage kids, I’m needing to get back into a better routine.
It’s very windy here and I’m not going out due o my hay fever. I could well have been swallowed up by a general lethargy which will probably turn into cabin fever later tonight. Balance is not my middle name.
    Best wishes,
    Rowena
